The Boat
Seahawk is a 11.5m Phoenix aluminium tri hull built in Whangarei, Northland. Built to maritime survey standards Seahawk has a complete inventory of safety equipment. Whilst you are on board the crew make you aware of all health & safety.
Seahawk has the latest Garmin electronic navigation with touchscreen GPS, fisheye 3D, google charts and all this can be overlaid with bird tracking radar. An AIS vessel tracking system plus shore based GPS not only allows Seahawk to be aware of other commercial vessels but our landbased crew has our location at all times.
Seahawk is powered by a new 480hp Cummins engine that allows a comfortable cruising speed of 13kts giving us the opportunity to access the deep waters of our beautiful Hauraki Gulf. Whether on a full day charter or twilight evening adventure fish you can sit back & relax whilst heading out to the fishing grounds.
We have a four burner hob top & grill, fridge, gas kalefont and a large BBQ cooking plate on the main deck. Tea, coffee and bottled water are available on request throughout your charter
Male and female fully equipped toilets are a feature not commonly found on fishing charter vessels.
Crew
All Seahawk charters have a skipper and deck boss. Most days (not twilights) a fish filleter is available to fillet your catch. If you are prepared to listen & learn our team will help teach you to fish with the time we have available. The crew are available at all times to help.
