Charter Information
Location:
Z Pier is located 150m past Swashbucklers on Westhaven Drive coming from Beaumont Street
Parking fees are applicable at Z Pier. You must park between the WHITE lines only. We recommend payment is made till at least 30 minutes after our return time.
After parking you can proceed down the ramp on the righthand side of the main building and Seahawk is Z19 berth slightly to the left once at the bottom of the ramp.
Arrival:
Please ensure your arrival is no less than 15 minutes prior to departure time.
Boarding:
You are welcome to embark MV Seahawk 10 minutes prior to our scheduled departure. Back packs and personal belongings can be stored on the rack above the engine. If you have your own chilly bin for casual fishing days or twilights place them under the seats. Larger groups can use our large chilly bin to store and keep your catch fresh.
Crew:
All Seahawk charters come with an experienced skipper and a knowledgeable deck hand. A full safety briefing precedes each charter
BBQ: Prior approval must be obtained for use of the BBQ. Use is available to groups of 10 or more. Igniting the BBQ can only be undertaken by the deck boss or skipper. We do not charge a hire fee for the BBQ so we ask that you wipe down the BBQ after use.
Refreshments & food:
Seahawk has a liquor license but operates under a BYO policy. Clients that arrive under the influence of alcohol (preloaded) are not welcome and are likely to be refused embarking the vessel. Drinking to excess and unruly behaviour could see the skipper either call the police launch or return to Z Pier without warning. Tea, coffee and bottled water is available on request without charge.
Rods & bait:
Rods & bait are available on all our charters. Our expert crew will ensure that you have lessons in baiting your line and using your rods. Our advice is watch and listen and it will help you learn the art of fishing when our crew are giving instructions & tips.
Ice:
All our charters have salt ice provided. Most importantly it keeps your catch fresh as well as your refreshments cold. Always make a slurry for your chilly bin using our ice and seawater.
Children:
We love taking children fishing however Seahawk does not recommend children under the age 7 come on fishing charters, check with management if new to fishing. As all persons on board are deemed as fishing so we charge full rates for children. The only exception is our school holiday "take a kid fishing" excursions.
Dress:
No matter what the weather is always come prepared. Autumn, winter & spring especially you will need to bring warm clothing. In summer caps, sunglasses and sunscreen are the order of the day. With Health and Safety regulations we do not welcome our clients wearing jandals. Crocs, sandals sports shoes are all ok.
Hazard:
On boarding & disembarking Seahawk take care as the steps can become wet & slippery. Whilst on board keep an eye out for any hazards that may cause tripping (eg chilly bins), hit your head (eg overhead storage rack) or fall ( eg step to main cabin).
Cancellations:
Seahawk will only cancel a charter if we have adverse weather conditions or mechanical failure. In the case of weather we normally try and give you up to 24 hours notice. We don’t cancel if it’s raining….fish don’t mind the rain. We don't refund in any event that is due to the nature being out of our control. (Happy to rebook or discuss all options)
Terms of Trade:
Full payment is required prior to departure.
No refunds for no shows and any cancellations less than 24 hours prior to departure.
Seahawk Charters accepts no responsibility for personal injury or damage to your property.
Information Security:
Your payment details have the security offered by Paystation ,(PCI DSS compliant certified Solutions Provider) Another option is by using your credit card on our online booking system.
