The Boat
Seahawk is a 12m Phoenix aluminium tri hull built in Whangarei, Northland. Built to maritime survey standards Seahawk has a complete inventory of safety equipment. The crew make you aware of all health & safety facets whilst you are on board.
Seahawk has the latest Garmin electronic navigation with touchscreen GPS, fish eye 3D, google charts and all this can be overlaid with a 40 kilometre bird tracking radar. An AIS vessel tracking system plus a shore based GPS not only allows Seahawk to be aware of other commercial vessels but our land based crew has our location at all times.
Seahawk is powered by a new 480hp Cummins engine that allows a comfortable cruising speed of 13kts giving us the opportunity to access the deep waters of our beautiful Hauraki Gulf. Whether on a full day charter or twilight evening fish you can sit back & relax whilst heading to the fishing grounds.
We have a four burner hob top & grill, fridge, gas calefont and a large BBQ cooking plate on the main deck. Tea, coffee and bottled water are available on request throughout your charter
Male and female fully equipped toilets are a feature not commonly found on fishing charter vessels.
Crew
All Seahawk charters have a skipper and deck boss. Most days (not twilights) a fish filleter is available to fillet your catch. If you are prepared to listen & learn our team will help teach you to fish with the time we have available. Just ask the crew for their help.
