INDIVIDUAL FULL DAY CHARTERS TWILIGHT CHARTERS NEED 12 OR MORE CONFIRMED BOOKINGS TO ENSURE WE DEPART FOR FISHING
Location: Z Pier Westhaven (Turn left off Beaumont Street onto Westhaven Drive and past Swashbucklers Restaurant take the first righthand turn into Z Pier carpark)
Parking: Parking at Z Pier is pay-by-plate. You can download the INUGO app or use your credit card at the machine on site. This is a ticketless car park and parking is only permitted between the WHITE lines. $4 per hour is the standard rate. Using the Inugo Parking App for full day fishing you can get an early-bird special $20 or using your credit card $25. These rates only apply if booking prior to 7.30am. Parking in the RED or overstaying your time could result in a $65 infringement notice. Please allow an extra 30 minutes when making payment for parking just in case our arrival back at Z Pier is later than advertised.
MV Seahawk: Walk down the ramp on the right side of Z-Pier and Seahawk is Z19 berth slightly to the left at the bottom of the ramp.
Boarding: Embarking MV Seahawk is usually 10 minutes prior to departure. Back packs and personal belongings can be stored on the racking above the engine. If you have chilly bins for individual fishing please initially store under the seats. Large groups can use the large bins provided on board.
Embarking & Disembarking: Please take care embarking and disembarking Seahawk as the steps on and off the marina can become wet & slippery under certain conditions and create a hazard.
Departure: Full Day Charter 6.30am & ETA 3.00pm, Twilight Charter 4.30pm & ETA by 9.30pm We do everything to ensure departure time is adhered to but sometimes circumstances beyond our control could cause a delay. On individual charters we do not wait for late comers.
Rods: Rods are part of your individual day trip and twilight package. Please listen carefully to the crew regarding baiting your hooks & tips on fishing. Our crew will help during your fishing experience on Seahawk
Bait & ice: Our bait is top quality pilchards from Top Catch and at times supplemented by other bait depending on fishing conditions. All our charters come with salt ice provided. This will keep your fish in fresh condition. Ice is also available for refreshments
Chilly Bins: We recommend you use our chilly bin on board, personal chilly bins can create clutter on the boat and potential safety hazards. However you are welcome to use your own chilly bin.
Vessel Facilities: Fridge, hob top, BBQ (not available on twilight charters), separate female & male toilets, Our Vessel holds a current Maritime New Zealand certificate (MTOP) plus an up to date survey certificate and has all the applicable safety equipment on board including life jackets. The back deck is fully covered.
Dress: Warm clothing during all seasons is essential in case of inclement weather.
Crew: All Seahawk charters come with an experienced skipper and deckhand.
Food & refreshments: Please bring your own food & refreshments.
Alcohol: MV Seahawk is strictly BYO. Alcohol is permitted on board but please do not turn up under the influence of alcohol (pre-loaded) as you maybe asked to leave the boat. We are bound by the liquor licensing laws and if our crew experience unruly or intoxicated persons, the boat will be turned around and returned to the berth. All we are looking for is for everyone on board to have fun and enjoy themselves.
Liquor ban: Note there is an Auckland Council ban on consumption of alcohol throughout the entire car park area. Alcohol must be sealed when taking to and from the boat.
Clients on board are required to comply with the quota management system and fishing regulations. Fish put in personal bins are your responsibility and please make sure they comply with the rules & sizes as per the Ministry of Primary Industries. Examples: Snapper must be 30cm or longer and kingfish 75cm or longer. The crew will measure your fish if you are unsure.
Cancellation: If there is adverse weather we try & give 24-hour notice. Mechanical problems on the day maybe beyond our control.
Terms: Full Payment is required prior to departure. No refunds for no shows and any client cancellations. Seahawk Charters accepts no responsibility for personal injury or damage to your property.
Information Security: Your payment details have the security offered by Paystation, a fully PCI DSS compliant certified Solutions Provider.
